Terms and Conditions of and information relating to bookings made with Prime Travel & Tour Pte Ltd and its affiliated and related companies ("hereinafter collectively referred to as "PTT")

These terms and conditions shall govern all bookings (whether for cars, ferries, flights, tours, coach or guided tours and without limitation thereto and where applicable) made by customers (hereinafter referred to as "Customers" or "Customer" as the case may be) with PTT and supersede and cancel in all respects all previous agreements and undertakings, if any, between the Customers of PTT and PTT (hereinafter referred to as the "Parties") with respect to the subject matter thereof, whether such be written or oral.

1. HOLIDAYS

1.1 Where a Customer books a tour, Inter-city travel is usually by private, air-conditioned or heated motor-coaches, cars, buses, trains and ferries as detailed in itineraries.

1.2 Hotel accommodation is quoted on price per person basis.

1.3 Air transportation is normally included in the land price of the tour package unless so specified.

1.4 Where travel includes cruises on designated ships or ocean going vessels, the per person price shall be based on two persons sharing a cabin with two berths, private shower and a toilet.
A limited number of single cabins are available upon request at an extra cost.

1.5 There shall be a tour leader or director on the guided tour who shall be conversant with the English language if the tour group has more than 15 paying customers. If there are special requirements as regards language of communication for group travel, such request shall be communicated by Customer to PTT on booking and PTT shall endeavor, where so feasible and practicable, to accommodate such a request.

1.6 Excursions and entrance fees to places of interest visited as detailed on each itinerary with an English-speaking guide where necessary. Where tours are optional, the prices shown indicated in any of PTT's brochures are only estimates.

1.7 Transfers between airports, hotels and piers only where indicated on the tour itinerary.

1.8 When booking triple rooms please note that the third bed may be a "rollaway" bed. Availability of triple rooms is limited. Substitute hotels may be used at certain times and will be of similar standard whenever possible. Customers of any hotel frequent traveler programs are not entitled to earn or accrue points with any of the hotels on such tour.

2. WHAT ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR PRICE

Airfares to and from Customer's destination, except where specified, airport/departure taxes, passport and visa fees, insurances of all kinds, laundry, phone calls, beverages, meals not detailed in the itinerary, tips to Tour Directors, motor coach drivers and local city guides, items of a personal nature, excess baggage, optional excursions etc. The tour price also does not cover costs and expenses, including the return to Customer's home, if Customer leaves the tour at his or her own volition, or due to illness, or as a consequence of official action by the government of any country visited.

3. RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENTS

3.1 A deposit, which shall be based on the value of the tour package or travel arrangement, shall be payable by the Customer to PTT upon confirmation of booking. With regards to tour packages, the final payment of the balance tour price shall be paid to PTT at least 30 days prior to departure date and such payment is not deemed made until it is received by PTT. For other travel arrangements, the balance of the cost of the travel arrangement shall be paid within 14 days before date of departure to destination.

4.2 PTT reserves the right to cancel the reservation and apply cancellation charges should payments not be received within the above specified period.

4.3 Credit Card Bookings: Customer's authorization to use his or her Credit Card number for deposit and/or final payment indicates his or her compliance with PTT's booking terms and conditions, whether Customer have actually signed the appropriate draft. Similarly, verbal authorization of the use of Customer's Credit Card done as a matter of convenience for the benefit of the Customer confirms his or her reservation. Such disclosure of credit card details confirms that Customer has authorized its use.

4.4 Any special meal requirements will be made on a REQUEST basis only PTT cannot GUARANTEE special meal requests nor will it assume any responsibility if Customer's special meal requests are not fulfilled.

5. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Travel documents and instructions for joining the tour will be sent to the Customer approximately 3 days before scheduled departure (provided full payment has been received).

6. BOOKING CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS BY CUSTOMERS AND REFUNDS

6.1 The deposit referred to in clause 4.1 herein shall be non-refundable for all PTT tour packages involving flights, transport or other expenses which will be incurred by PTT upon a confirmation of booking.

6.2 In respect of all other travel arrangements for which a deposit has been paid by the Customer to PTT in accordance with clause 4.1 herein, the deposit shall be forfeited by PTT if notice of cancellation is received by PTT from the Customer less than 30 days prior to date of departure, commencement of rental, check in to hotel or boarding of train, as the case may be.

6.3 If full payment is not received 30 days prior to departure the Airline(s) and/or PTT has/have the right to cancel Customer's air reservation.

6.4 All deposit payment shall be forfeited once booking is confirmed.

6.5 Notice of cancellation in writing has to be given by Customer to PTT. The following scale of charges will apply when notice of cancellation is given after the booking is confirmed:

* PLEASE NOTE: The departure date constitutes the date indicated on PTT's confirmation.

6.5 If flight changes are requested after the deposit has been received, or if flights are cancelled after tickets are issued, revision fees, change fees or Airline cancellation fees will be applicable and will be in addition to the above cancellation charges. In some cases, airline tickets are 100% non-refundable.

6.6 Notwithstanding Clause 6 3 herein, cancellation charge or such other fee, penalty or imposition may also apply to hotel accommodation where such charge, fee, penalty or imposition is levied or imposed by the hotel or place of accommodation.

6.7 In the event of Customer's withdrawal from a tour after commencement for reasons of illness, Customer must obtain a medical certificate in support of any insurance claim. PTT regrets that no refunds can be made for absences from a tour, including but not limited to, missed meals or sightseeing PTT makes no representation or guarantees concerning reimbursements of funds paid by Customer under any insurance claim

6.8 Airfares are subject to change at any time. Changes to flight itineraries and name changes may result in penalties charged by the Airline concerned and passed on to the passengers.

 

7. GENERAL INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS

7.1 Tour prices are based on costs, charges, tariffs, rates, prices, taxes, levies and exchange rates as at the date of this booking. In the event that there is any change to these costs, a surcharge may be made on Customer's tour price

7.2 PTT shall reserve the right to increase the tour prices in the event that there is foreign currency fluctuation where such fluctuation is more than 5% from the date of booking, or if there are any increased charges imposed by the carrier after the booking is made.

7.3 A discretionary discount of between 10% to 20% shall be given to any Customer with a child under the age of 12 years traveling with and sharing a room with two adults, one of which is the Customer This discount shall be given on the full tour price for an adult. The two adults accompanying and sharing a room with the child shall pay the tour price on a triple sharing rate Triple rooms are based on a twin-bedded standard room.

7.4 PTT reserves the right to make variations to the agreed itinerary in the booking and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages, but will be of equal standard. On tours that include cruises the ship may be changed due to operational reasons.

7.5 Smoking is strictly prohibited on the coach or vehicle; however, regular comfort stops are made on traveling days.

8. TOUR CANCELLATIONS

PTT reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure of the tour, PTT's only liability will be to refund to Customer the amount it has received for the tour booking. PTT will try to re-book the same or similar tour and, where flights have been confirmed by PTT, will attempt to confirm air seats for new dates selected, subject to availability.

9. EXTENDED STAY

If Customer has arranged with PTT to remain at a destination before or after Customer's tour with PTT, please note that Customer's stay will be at his or her sole expense as is the transfer to either the hotel or airport. Please also be aware if Customer's extra night hotel is not the hotel where his or her tour begins and ends, Customer shall be responsible for his or her own transfer arrangements at Customer's own expense.

10. RESPONSIBILITY

10.1 PTT shall be responsible to its Customers for supplying the services and accommodations described in this brochure and booking form, except where such services cannot be supplied or the itinerary used is changed due to delays or other causes of whatever kind or nature beyond the control of PTT. In such circumstances, PTT shall do its best to supply comparable services, accommodations and itineraries and there shall be no refund in this connection.

10.2 In the absence of its own willful negligence, neither PTT nor its agents or employees shall be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitution of equipment or any act or omission whatsoever by air carriers, hotels, transportation companies, or any other persons providing any of the services and accommodations to Customers including any results thereof, such as changes in services or accommodations necessitated by same. Nor shall they be liable for injury, illness or death, or for any damages or claims whatsoever arising from loss, negligence or delay from the act, error, or negligence of any person not their direct employee or under their exclusive control. All baggage and personal belongings are at all times at the Customer's own risk. Baggage Insurance is recommended. The carriers, hotels and other suppliers who provide services on tour are independent contractors; they are not agents, employees or servants of PTT or its associated companies. PTT is not responsible for any criminal conduct by third parties.

10.3 Enrolment in and payment for a tour shall constitute agreement and acceptance by the Customer of the terms and conditions set forth in this brochure which cannot be varied except in writing by an authorized officer of PTT

11. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

All claims, disputes and matters arising out of this booking are governed and to be construed by Singapore law All parties to this booking shall and agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

 

12. ACCURACY OF BROCHURE & LEAFLET

Every effort is made to ensure brochure & leaflet accuracy at the time of going to press; however, PTT cannot be held responsible for printing or typographical errors, or errors arising from unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond the control of PTT.

13. THINGS TO BE MINDFUL OF BEFORE YOU GO

Passports Visa: Customer shall be responsible for all visas, permits, necessary health requirements, and any other documents as required by laws, regulations and orders of the countries visited.

Customer's travel agent or Airline will advise Customer of this.

It is the responsibility of each Customer to have a valid passport and all necessary visas or entry permits, as well as to comply with entry, health or other requirements of the countries visited PTT and/or its employees arid agents are not responsible for passport, visa requirements, entry, health or other requirements of the countries visited or for any loss sustained by Customer's failing to comply with laws, regulations, orders and/or requirements of countries visited Travel Documents: Customer's tour documents, relevant documents and travel literature will be sent to Customer prior to departure.

Please read this information carefully, before departure as it contains important advice, tips and essential information to make Customer's vacation as enjoyable as possible Health: PTT strongly recommend that Customer contact his or her doctor or health practitioner for up to date advice on current required or recommended inoculations and preventive medicine having regard to the prevalent health concerns, epidemic and diseases peculiar to the country of visit.

Holidays Changes: During local or national holidays and local festivals celebrated abroad, certain facilities such as museums, sightseeing tours and shopping may be limited. Slight itinerary adjustments shall be made by PTT whenever possible. Complaint Procedure: In the event that Customer has a complaint in respect of his or her holiday, Customer shall inform PTT's tour director or representative during the course of Customer's holiday.

If the matter cannot be resolved after PTT's representative's best endeavors to do so during the holiday, Customer's complaint should be made in writing to PTT
